Webbför 13 timmar sedan · There are some datapoints that are really close to 50 and -50 so they are basically going outside the plot. I need some margins, while keeping the xlim and ylim (so basically I want to still visualize -50 and 50) but when I try to add margin it doesn't properly change. Other than that I'd like to add 'female' and 'male' instead of -50 and 50. WebbFirst, I feel weird posting an answer against the co-lead developer of matplotlib. Obviously, @tacaswell knows matplotlib far better than I ever will. But at the same time, his answer wasn't dynamic enough for me. I needed a caption that would always be based on the position of the xlabel, and couldn't just use text annotations.
