This treatment can be either positive or negative, depending on the circumstances. WebThe implications of the labeling theory are pretty simple. If you brand someone a criminal for a crime they committed that might, or might not be serious, that is what they will become. They know that people see them as bad so eventually, they will get even worse. They will behave according to that label.
